Long-term Preservation
Wiley-Blackwell has been a leading supporter of long-term preservation initiatives.
We are a founding member of and participant in the CLOCKSS initiative: www.clockss.org
We participate in the Portico initiative for both online journals and books and serve on its advisory committee: www.portico.org
We participate in the e-journals deposit pilot project of the British Library and former Blackwell content is also included in KB deposit (Dutch National Library) archiving initiative.
We have representation on the Legal Deposit Advisory Panel/eJournals Working Group and are involved in planning the future direction of the voluntary scheme and the detailed statutory regulations that will result.
Finally, we are also interested in the long-term curation of the data that lies behind the article. We archive some of this currently and are in discussions with the research community on a longer term plan.
