Contact Author Services

Author Services is a separate website from Wiley Online Library, but you can use the same login and password on both systems. The first time you log into Author Services, you'll be directed to a page to provide more information to enable the system to send optional alerts with your preferences when you track your articles.

If you're having difficulty logging into Author Services or accessing your article online via Author Services, please contact cs-author@wiley.com. Please include the journal name, the article title, date of acceptance, and the corresponding author's name.

Submitted Manuscripts

For questions about the status of your submitted but not yet accepted manuscript, please contact the Editorial Office. Author Services displays information only about your accepted articles. Contacts for each journal's Editorial Office are found on the journal homepage in Wiley Online Library.

Production Queries

For specific questions about the production of your accepted article, including proofs, please contact the Production Editor via the journal e-mail address. The address is found in each journal's Author Guidelines and if you have registered the article in Author Services, a link to E-mail the Production Editor is shown in My Publications next to each tracked article.

Book Proposals

For information about submitting your book proposal to a Wiley editor for consideration: Submit Book Proposal.

Helpful Tips for Authors:

  • Registration is not required to submit a manuscript to an editorial office. Submission links appear on each journal's homepage in Wiley Online Library.
  • Author proofing is not yet a feature available within Author Services. The Corresponding author will receive information about proofing directly from the typesetter. Queries should be directed to the Production Editor.
  • When the accepted article has been received by Wiley-Blackwell, Author Services will send the corresponding author an e-mail inviting registration in Author Services to track production, and for most journals, for free access to the published article. There may be a short delay from when the editorial office accepts the article and when the alert is sent. Some journals follow a process where all the articles in an issue are sent to the publisher at one time, so the delay for the first few accepted may be several days or weeks. Contact the Production Editor if the delay is more than two weeks.
  • Registering with the same e-mail address where the Author Services Stage 1 alert was received will automatically connect the author with the article. Authors may register with a different e-mail address by using the link in the e-mail or by registering and then using theAdd Article feature to add the Unique number contained in the e-mail. The number has the format 123456-123456.
  • Corresponding authors are requested not to forward their e-mail invitation to their co-authors, because the Unique ID can only be used once. After the corresponding author registers, the e-mails of the co-authors can be provided using the Add Co-Authors link. Each co-author will receive an invitation to track the article.
  • Journal manuscript submission websites are separate from Author Services, and as such, require a separate login for each journal. We apologize for the inconvenience.
  • For each subsequent article an author wishes to track, there is no need to register again; just sign in. The article will be added to your profile automatically if you have registered with the same e-mail address where you received the alert.
  • Most journals also permit each author to nominate up to 10 colleagues for free access. This is designed to increase online usage of your article and to help drive the most appropriate readers to your published article. Look for the Add My Colleagues button in the My Publications area.

  19. I am unable to view my article PDF using my Macintosh and/or Firefox.

  20. Please try the following if you are experiencing difficulties viewing your article PDF using a Mac:

First of all please install the latest version of Adobe Reader, then when prompted to open the PDF file, open and download the file using this program (select Adobe Reader from the list of programs). You can download the latest version of Adobe Reader free.

If the above has not resolved the problem, please try using the Safari web browser. We have found that there is currently an issue when using a FireFox web browser to download and view your PDF. If you are using Firefox, please rename the file extension to .pdf (from .asp). Using a Safari web browser will open the PDF in a Safari window. You can download Safari free.

Using a FireFox web browser, the PDF file may open as an .asp file, but will be viewable in Adobe Reader, in the same way a PDF is. You can download FireFox free.

Please contact Author Services at cs-author@wiley.com if this does not resolve the issue.

In order to gain access, Register an account with the e-mail address where you received the colleague alert. Once completed and logged in, you will be able to view the article under My Colleagues' Articles. If by doing so you have created a duplicate account, please contact Author Services at cs-author@wiley.com with the e-mail address of both accounts, so that we may combine accounts to avoid future confusion.

  25. I submitted my changes to the proofs, but the status in Author Services does not yet show that the corrections have been received.

  26. For certain journals, it may require some time for the update to show in your Author Services account due to processing time.

If it has been more than 2 weeks, please contact the Production Editor using the link in My Publications.

  27. I have submitted the signed copyright form, but Author Services shows that it has not been received.
